SFHE 2022 Conference FAQ

Conference Schedule-

Conference check-in will begin at 1pm on Wednesday, July 20. The first event is a Welcome reception and dinner beginning at 5, followed by our opening plenary at 7pm. The conference ends on Sunday, July 24 at noon, following the final meeting of the morning groups. A full schedule will be available soon.

Housing and Meals-

Most of our meeting attendees stay in campus dorms. This carries on a long-standing tradition and allows for more time spent at the conference together. Meals are included for those staying on campus: breakfast and lunch every day, dinner Thursday and Friday are in the cafeteria. Wednesday and Saturday dinners are buffet meals at a location on campus. 

We do reserve a block of rooms at a local hotel for those who do not wish to stay in the dorm. If you are staying at the hotel, you can purchase a commuter meal plan.

Virtual Attendance-

This year, attending the conference virtually is still an option. Those who choose not to attend in person will be able to participate in both plenaries, the Memorial Service and Town Hall meeting via livestream. They may also join a morning session via zoom.

Social-

We host a social event before and after each plenary, and Saturday night. All are welcome to attend. Wednesday, before the plenary, and Saturday night are full meals, the others are simple cocktail hours with drinks and snacks. The costs for these are covered by registration fees.
